We are MARCHing on!

Well it's March and that means things are MARCHing on!  The greenhouses are starting to burst, the ground is just waiting to be plowed, apples and peaches are being trimmed and the blueberries have already been pruned and that brings on the list of things we do with those sandy soil lovers before we even think about the fruit on the bush!  The winter months are when we - farmers-  get everything done that we didn't, well couldn't,  do in the busy summer months.  We find ourselves asking this question every day in the summer - Can it wait or do we need it right now?  We are usually asking that question while in a tractor pulling a wagon,  or heading out to turn a pump off or on,  or on the phone trying to sell our produce just to mention a few.  So then when it is January we get to do everything else....and hopefully it all gets done before mid-March when our season gets busy again!  The tractors start up again pulling every implement known to man- plows, disks, planters, fertilizer drills,  and on and on depending on what you grow.  You can see our earlier blog on spreading lime but stay tuned for more of what we do in March!
